Everyone wants to look their best, especially when the festive season is around and there are loads of opportunities to shine. We shop for new clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. But what is it that you MUST purchase if you don’t already have it?
Things that can help you look your prettiest whenever you need to step out and take center stage; we have it nailed for you.

Skin Care Comes First
The first and foremost thing on my list is a good face wash. It will not only clean your skin but also prepare it for any further skin-care or make-up preparation that you do. For dry skin opt for creamy face washes from the Dove or Ponds range. My personal recommendation for oily skin would be Himalaya Neem Face Wash which not only cleanses but helps take care of acne as well. If you have blackheads then along with the face wash include in your weekly routine a gentle scrub like the papaya scrub from Vedic Line – it suits both oily and dry skin and does its job pretty well.

A Little Bit Of Extra Shine
Once we have a clean face we need to pamper it a bit more – to bring that glow for the festivities. What better way than to treat it to a nice face-pack. If you have troubled skin then rush and get yourself a Himalaya Neem Face Pack, you will love it all the year around. If you want to give your face a fruity uplift then opt for the fruit face packs from Lotus Herbals or Lakme. The fragrance will help you unwind while it works on your face for that radiant glow.

Standout With Glamorous Make-up
And now coming to the make-up part – invest in a good foundation – it will help hide any imperfections and also make you more photogenic with your skin looking smooth and glowing. Foundations exist in various forms but the easiest to use, according to my personal experience, are liquid foundations. Some recommendations are the oil-free foundation from Faces Canada, the Revlon photo-ready foundation or the more expensive MAC studio fix. Take your pick but make sure you have the right shade by doing a swatch test on your jaw line; else you will end up looking like a clown instead of a beauty queen.

Ooooh…The Lips
The last thing that you should invest in is a good long staying lip color. There are tons of lipstick choices out there but when it comes to a party you don’t want to worry about your lipstick fading away. Purchase a lipstick that lasts for at least 4 hours and a color that will suite most outfits. My suggestions here would be the ColorBar extra durable lip color in shade sassy or L’Oreal Color Riche in Raspberries. Both are beautiful shades that will rock all your parties and would suit all Indian skin tones.
So while you are out shopping make sure to pick out a good face wash, a face pack, a nice foundation and a festive lip shade!
